Since Technology 4.0 can increase the potentials of many industries quickly, if we want to compete in order to become more outstanding manufacturers, we need to keep up with such technology.
Therefore, Material Automation (Thailand) Co. Ltd. organized the seminar entitled “Digital Manufacturing Solution for Smart Connected Product Manufacturing (Industrial 4.0)” on the 16th of November 2018 at Holiday Inn and Suites Rayong City Center, Rayong Province in order to provide up-to-date information on the manufacturing technology which increase the industrial effectiveness in terms of Industrial Internet of thing, connected system and data storage in order to analyze the operations and the problems which might occur during the real-time manufacturing. Other topics included how to add manufacturing functions by using a specialized program to manage the manufacturing of highly complex products, how to reduce the weight of workpieces and as such reducing the waste material although the workpieces are equivalently strong, how to design workpieces by using Additive Manufacturing technology which is the technology of the future and is playing a role in the industries at the moment.
In this event, the company also introduced the AR system as a part of IoT Platform called ThingWorx which can increase the manufacturing management system in a variety of ways. Users can learn how to dissemble the machine and the highly complex workpieces through the AR system and the system also increases the effectiveness of the operation through Preventive Maintenance which the system displays through an Application on your iPad or smartphone. This way, you can maintain the machine and reduce the downtime to the minimum so that the machine can work effectively.

“Thailand is developing itself towards the age of Smart City & Smart City. EGAT has planned to develop and control the electrical system from an analog system to become a digital system. Therefore, we need to use IoT and right now we are learning and preparing to be ready for such transformation. Attending the seminar today has helped us to see a bigger picture and we can make a plan to develop ourselves at a national level. This is an excellent seminar.”
