As an ASEAN subsidiary of JTEKT Corporation, we sell machine tools and provide after-sales services for Grinding machines, Machining centers, etc. in Thailand and Southeast Asia. We started manufacturing and selling machine tools in 1941, and now we are celebrating our 80th anniversary. Last year, we changed our brand name from TOYODA to JTEKT, and we continue to aim to be a machine tools brand that trusted by our customers.
JTEKT ‘S FUTURE CHALLENGES
While the needs of customers and society are diversifying, such as the electrification of automobiles and the realization of a decarbonized society, the environment surrounding the manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly challenging due to factors such as soaring raw material and energy prices.
JTEKT’s machine tools have strengths in machining automobile parts and engine-related parts, but as automobiles move towards electrification, we are expanding our lineup of products suitable for machining EV motor parts and cases. Some of these products are produced at JTEKT’s Chinese factory for the Chinese market, which has particularly high needs, and we will also provide sales and services in ASEAN.
JTEKT CHINA FACTORY
JTEKT MACHINERY (DALIAN) CO., LTD. was established in Dalian, China in April 2003, started local production in 2016, opened a technology center in 2020, and expanded its factory. The main body of the machine was designed by Japanese engineers, and the main parts are also imported from Japan. By increasing the local procurement rate while maintaining high manufacturing technology and quality equivalent to those in Japan, we have gained the support of many customers in the fast-moving Chinese market.
We would like to introduce two representative models that are produced locally. “Vertical machining center e640V/e640V4-EX ” is a best-selling machine with over 350 units shipped. The compact body occupies little space, making it ideal for case mass production processing.
“Mass production type cylindrical grinding machine G1P50S-JB ” is the perfect machine for mass production processing, equipped with JTEKT’s original CNC TOYOPUC and JTEKT ‘s high precision, high rigidity wheel spindle rolling bearing. The traverse structure of the wheelhead saves space by up to 39% compared to the previous model, the double-center drive NC shift headstock on both sides reduces setup changeover time with no drive fittings, and the adoption of a high-rigidity linear guide reduces the time required for rapid feed of the wheelhead. These support our customers to improve their productivity with short cycle time.
