At the heart of ONI Intertrade throughout the entire time that the business has been in existence are personnel development, service provision and keeping up with technological advances, and for this interview, MEGA Tech was honored by Mr. Apisit Tangthomya, Managing Director of ONI Intertrade Co., Ltd.
Mr. Apisit talks about the ONI’s growth “ONI has been operating for over a decade. Now the company is entering its 16th year. For ONI, we have always been one of the leaders in the technology and innovation industries. We started out with cutting tools that eventually expanded to machines, and although the industrial markets have always experienced technological changes every 3-4 years, ONI also continuously developed to keep up with technological changes and effectively provide the latest technological solutions to our customers.”
5-axis machines can definitely help facilitate the customer’s growth in leaps and bounds

“Currently, there is a trend for the machinery used in Europe and Japan in which there is increasing use of 5-axis CNCs. As a result, ONI decided to import the Taiwan-assembled Wele machines from Japan to offer to our customers. We also decided to display our machines in showrooms to allow customers to view and inspect the trend of using 5-axis technology, which are increasingly operationally complex, to determine whether it can meet the product manufacturing requirements of customers, and customers are also given opportunities to try out our machines to accompany their purchase decisions. For any customer who wants to become a leading manufacturer, 5-axis machines can definitely help facilitate the customer’s growth in leaps and bounds.” Mr. Apisit said.
After-sales service has been the key to ONI

“As for another type of machines for sheet metal, ONI distributes machines from the Bodor brand. Why did ONI choose Bodor and how does Bodor differ from others in the market? I would like to simply say that Bodor from Switzerland cuts import costs by having production take place in China. Since Bodor still has many important points, we can appreciate the points that can solve customer problems. For example, a machine that I would like to recommend is a new innovation. Normally, 3000-watt machines can cut just 12 millimeters of stainless in terms of thickness, but Bodor’s machine can cut up to 20 millimeters of stainless, and it is also the only brand in the market currently capable of doing this. This demonstrates that ONI brings in the latest technologies and innovations to improve existing products. The company was able to continue operating for over 10 years because ONI never stopped improving its services and personnel, without which we would likely never have survived this long. Importantly, ONI also currently provides post-sale services in a networked format, that is, we provide online services. Recently, Covid-19 make customer access difficult, so we developed services swiftly and continuously by offering online services for our customers. One benefit of this service format is that customers do not have to wait long, and we can take care of them within just 5 minutes or even instantly. Another benefit is cost. With the online format, customers do not have to pay any service fee to ONI. Just changing perspectives and ways of thinking can solve customers’ problems.

Mr. Apisit concluded to boost customer confidence, “I believe that in developing to become number one in the market means that we have to partner with our customers and develop along with our customers, and we are sure that our customers will definitely also become the number one player in their industries.”
