The Important Role of Sheet Metal in the Era of Industry 4.0

Sheet Metal machinery has been playing an essential role in the manufacturing industry for 25 years, just prior to the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Its significance became particularly pronounced leading up to the year when Thailand made preparations to host of Asian games in Bangkok. In 1998, the construction of the metro system BTS project was established, and this system has been in continuous operation since 1999. Furthermore, this period also witnessed the completion of Suvarnabhumi airport project in 2006. These three projects encompassed extensive structural and decorative requirements, necessitating the use of high-quality workpieces and equipment produced by Sheet Metal machinery. This phase marked a significant growth catalyst of Sheet Metal machinery within the manufacturing industry in Thailand.

This resulted in the unsuccessful attempts among several manufacturing factories in utilizing the robotic arms as a replacement of employees, consequently discontinuing the approach.

            The challenge associated with employing the industrial robotic arms in the bending process of metal workpieces has been effectively resolved by Krasstec Co., Ltd.
