GP26W, GA26W – CNC Precision Cylindrical Grinders

Okuma Corporation is promoting the GP26W and GA26W cylindrical grinders with wheelhead traverse systems that improve ease of use in small footprints.

The Okuma GP26W and GA26W are designed for stable, high-accuracy grinding of small parts used in automobiles, motorcycles, hydraulic equipment, home appliances, and more. These compact machines are especially suited for small workpieces and offer high-accuracy in mass-production machining. A compact body and a space-saving footprint are achieved thanks to the wheelhead’s traverse structure, which shortens work lines and contributes to a higher work efficiency.

The GPW/GAW series is equipped with the newly-developed OSP-P300GA controller for grinders. The new control means increased user functionality for easier operation and increased work efficiency.

JAGURA can not only design mechanism structure according to workpiece clamping swing and workpiece length, but also set spindle working position layout according to customer’s requirement. Moreover, regarding workpiece clamping, JAGURA provides several clamping methods, such as hydraulic soft chuck clamping, collet clamping, Diaphragm chuck clamping, 3 jaw chuck clamping and magnetic chuck clamping. As to the control system,

JAGURA develops two control systems: 1. EASY CNC, 2. CNC for different grinding applications. The JAGURA dialogue HMI is divided into 4 main sections Main menu/Dressing process/Grinding path programs and Program links Unlike the traditional CNC systems utilizing complicated G code & M code .Operator simply select the built-in grinding and dressing program, set operation parameters and enter required grinding size and then the machine will perform fully automatically grinding process.
