Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has officially opened the Laser Tracker Calibration Service Center on the 5th of November at the calibration center of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence at Bangna -Trad KM 16. Mr. Taveesak Srisuntisuk, Managing Director of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in the Southeast Asian region along with Mr. Colin Osborne and Mr. Thomas Schmid presided over the opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at the center. Afterwards, the attendees visited the laser tracker calibration service center and the portable arm calibration service center. Mr. Prem Peetz, PCMM Sales Manager of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, led the tour and provided the audience with the information of the center.

Mr. Taveesak said that the Laser Tracker Calibration Service Center by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence offers both calibration and maintenance services for HEXAGON laser tracker products. At the moment, this center is the first and the only center to provide such services in Southeast Asia and Australia.
At the moment, the services in Asia Pacific are provided by HEXAGON in Korea, HEXAGON in India and the service center run by a partner in Japan. Each center provides the best service. The center in Thailand was established with the aim to provide more services to make it more convenient and quicker for customers to reduce the cost and the time of delivery to the centers in other countries. The location, the equipment, the tools and the staff in Thailand are well prepared because the staff members have attended the official training sessions.

“Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence opened the Portable Arm Calibration Service Center last year in 2018 and has gained a lot of attention and provided services to many customers since then. The Portable Arm Calibration Service Center offers services, calibration and consultation to customers both in Thailand and from other countries.”

Mr. Prem says that the Laser Tracker Calibration Lab is a room with maximum accuracy because the temperature, the environment and the equipment must be controlled to meet the standards of calibration for laser trackers. When we receive a laser tracker from our customer, the first step is to check the laser tracker by looking at all parts by experienced engineers and then the laser tracker must be checked for accuracy before calibration. When the laser tracker is not in a good condition, we can repair or offer spare parts so that the laser tracker is in a good condition for calibration.
At the moment, the Center is ready to provide calibration service for all AT40X models of laser trackers and in 2020 we are ready to provide services to the high-end model, namely AT960, for customers who use HEXAGON solutions. If you are interested and want to calibrate your laser tracker and portable arms, please contact Ms. Ilada Jaidong or Mr. Prem Peetz of Hexagon Metrology (Thailand) Ltd. at 02-361-3695-9.
