Material Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. organized “Digital Manufacturing Solution for Smart Connected Product Manufacturing (Industrial 4.0)” at AMTA Spring Country Club, Chon Buri Province on the 23rd May 2019. There were many participants in this event.
The seminar contained two topics as in “Engineering Innovation in the Age of Industry 4.0” and “How to make your industry become smart through IoT (Internet of Things) and AR (Augmented Reality)”. The speaker of the two topics was both skilled and experienced in such technologies. At the end of the seminar there was a lucky draw and the top prize was an iPad (Wifi).
Mr. Duminda Gunathilaka PLM & IOT Solution Sales Manager, Material Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said that this seminar was aimed to give an opportunity to participants to listen to the seminar, have a conversation and share their experiences of using IoT technology in order to improve the manufacturing efficiency in the current industrial age and to extend the manufacturing potential to reach the highest level of efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Nowadays, many manufacturers are trying to improve their performance continuously. However, the systems and the equipment in the manufacturing factories and the manufacturing process have evolved in different directions. Therefore, the choice of the modern equipment which is worth the investment and flexible or compatible to work with other machines is a big challenge and obstacle to achieve excellence in the operation.
Mr. Duminda continued that although many manufacturers use new technologies in the manufacturing processes, there is too much amount of data from the automation systems, robots, NC, PLC, digital measuring tool, sensor camera, wireless devices and other tools. The large amount of data from the new manufacturing process means that it is almost impossible for a traditional manufacturing process to collect the data and to analyze any problems during the manufacturing process.
