The Ramkhamhaeng University Council (R.U.) held a degree award ceremony for the academic year 2020-2021 (Class 47) and passed a resolution in approval of awarding honorary doctorate degrees to senior persons with knowledge and abilities spanning across multiple fields. Mr. Chiraphan Unlapathon, President of Sumipol Corporation Limited and affiliated companies, received an honorary doctor of engineering degree in industrial engineering for having served as a role model in the development of personnel for the manufacturing industrial sector and for his lasting contributions in the academic sector that made him worthy of widespread recognition and praise.
Accordingly, he received the honorary doctorate degree from His Excellency the H.E. Mr. Palakorn Suwanrath Privy Councillor, representative of His Majesty the King, on 23 February 2023.
