The latest FLARE pro with a highest resolution
Workpiece inspection using automated scanning has become increasingly crucial in many stages of the manufacturing process, including workpiece testing or assembly line work inspection. TBTS (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a distributor and service provider of various 3D coordinate measuring machines, emphasizes on automation efficiency with the vision to raise parts manufacturers’ ability and quality of work to global standards. The company has brought an automated measuring machine into its showroom and welcomes those who are interested in testing the machine performance or customers who have new ideas for developing their work. TBTS currently owns T-BOX M automated scanning system, which uses an Optical scanning technology and the latest FLARE pro with a resolution of up to 16 million pixels. The system comes with a wide range of scanning from 350 square mm. to 1100 square mm. and can measure a workpiece with a diameter of 1,500 mm., height of 1,500 mm., and weight of up to 500 kg. This type of machine is the most suitable for Aluminum Die Casting work or Die Casting molds. It is equipped with FP: FLARE Planning program, which allows fast and easy automated teaching. The users can perform Teaching and are not required to have knowledge of robot control at all. The received Teaching Program of a specific workpiece is then passed on to the FA: FLARE Automation program. The program can easily provide a measurement control for running or setting for other measurements.

Another system is the LEICA Laser tracker, which is connected to the robot and controlled by the LSA program that allows easy and efficient measurement design. A scanning head attached to the machine is compatible with both the T-Scan-5 and AS1 – Hexagon’s latest scanning heads with a scanning speed of 1.2 million dots per second. It enables fast measurement of large workpieces and provides excellent quality of measurement data. Such automated measuring systems are suitable for Sub-Assy, Press Mold and Die works, as well as Body in white work in the production line.

Scanned data from both automated measurement systems can be automatically transferred to the Inspection Software program. After measuring and storing data, the Polyworks Inspector program of the created workpiece project will be retrieved. The measurement process will then be repeated as designed, from aligning, extracting various defined features, as well as automatically exporting reports in different formats in less than a minute. This fully automated inspection system helps reduce human errors and data discrepancies. The data will be stored in a digital format. The measurement results can be displayed or used as a real-time alert of a problem in focus spots.
