A robotic bending cell is a system that integrates a robot and a bending press machine designed to perform operations of picking, bending, and depositing metal sheet profiles. It fulfills the need for manufacturers to make their operations more efficient while keeping production costs low without compromising quality.

By eliminating the human factor, costs can be reduced and safety enhanced. Other benefits include a reduction in material waste and a decrease in the production cycle while operators can focus on other value-added production activities. Another aspect not to be overlooked is the safeguarding of the health and safety of operators who normally directly engage with the machines.
Haco Flex Bend, a compact robotic bending cell that integrates an electrical press brake EMaster 13040 and FANUC robot M-20iD/35 with 30iB controller that automates the bending of small to medium-size parts in a fast and cost-efficient manner with highest precision. The Haco Flex Bend comes with features that include fast automatic programming. It requires just 4 x 5m of floor space but can accommodate parts from 35 x 100 mm up to 300 x 500mm and a maximum weight of 5kg.
Peripherals
The system comprises a picking station featuring magnetic sheet separation and brushes to ensure the vacuum/magnetic gripper grasps only a single sheet at a time. Reference station, where the base products can be referenced so that each base product is in an identical position for the robot to pick up. A retake station for NC parts. The robot is standard equipped with a universal mechanical robot gripper. The robot bending cell is equipped with various safety features to protect operators from potential hazards during the robot operation.
