INTERMACH 2020 is being featured under the concept “Driving industry forward with intelligent technology”. The show ends with outstanding successes all around. With the ‘New Normal’, the 2020 show was successfully delivered and presented at the Hybrid Exhibition. The show featured both the physical exhibition and the virtual exhibition of facilities.
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated and driven transformation for the manufacturing industry. Manufacturers must handle more adaptations in automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics in the manufacturing process and also explore new opportunities in industries such as medical devices and other future industries. Thailand is moving towards the production of high-value and smart electronics and electrical appliances, leveraging its high competency in modern technologies for E&E manufacturing. In the Post COVID-19, doing business will not be the same with the latest technology in the limelight.
The event showcased some of the cutting-edge manufacturing machinery and automation technology. Some of the machinery was being exhibited for the first time in Thailand. A variety of industrial robotics and automation technology was also featured. A wide range of sheet metal fabrication technology from the world’s leading brands was also displayed; included fiber laser machines, CO2 lasers, press brakes, technology.
Co-located with INTERMACH 2020 was Subcon Thailand 2020 – The most important subcontracting and business matching event in ASEAN. This year it featured 250 industrial part-makers and suppliers. Buyer’s Village was also a popular destination which offered face-to-face meetings with procurement officers from some of the world’s leading industrial part-buyers to discuss part requirements and procurement policies included BMW Group, AutoAllaince, Honda Automobile, Isuzu Motors, Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing, Robert Bosch Automotive Technologies, Siam Kubota Corporation, Thai Samsung Electronics, Voestalpine Railway Systems, and Great Wall Motors.
SUBCON’s Business Matching Program was an overwhelming success. Despite the social distancing, travel restrictions and economic recovering it did not stop exhibitors and industrial part buyers from around the world from doing business via physical and online business matching for the first time ever. Local buyers and overseas buyers over hundred companies and 11 countries were featured and business matching resulted in 1,277 matching pairs which generated more than 3.8 Billion THB in business transactions.
INTERMACH and SUBCON Thailand 2020 were a big hit and successfully delivered business opportunity, business linkage and business collaboration between exhibitors, buyers, and entrepreneurs. Top sales leads were made, and lucrative business contacts were established with quality trade visitors and buyers.
